Dear Codeberg-Team,

thank you for your work. I've migrated from Gitea to Forgejo some time ago and I'm very happy with it.
I'm from Germany and I wanted to do a donation with a receipt for the taxes.
I saw your documentation here: https://docs.codeberg.org/improving-codeberg/donate/

If you want to receive a receipt for your donation, please write to us using the address above, but additionally provide us with your full name and address, as well as with the date of your donation.

I wonder, why is there no default document like a "Vereinfachter Zuwendungsnachweis" (simplified donation receipt)?

For example: The Document Foundation (LibreOffice) has introduced a simplified donation receipt. Together with the bank statement, this is sufficient to claim the donation as such in the tax return (up to 300 €).
Could you publish such a document, too?

I think it would reduce the work for the donators (for example me) and you (because there are no mails to answer).
I'm not familiar with the specifics of association law. Maybe it's not applicable in your case but it would be nice just to donate, download the PDF and the paperwork is (mostly) done without any additional work for your side so you can keep forging.

The link to the document mentioned:

Thank you very much for your work and have a nice evening

Hi, thank you for reaching out! We are letting you know that we have forwarded your feedback to our office team; but I can't share any details before that is processed as I am not active in it (and, as you can imagine, they have a lot to do given our growth over the past few months).

I think we should keep this issue open so that we can document this when we have clarified the details for the procedure. Thanks for providing a reference for us. :)

Sure. I didn't expect a solution immediately. Especially with Christmas and the upcoming holidays I presume that you may work on this topic earliest next year. It's good to know that the information is forwarded to the correct team and then you can decide how to proceed.

It is a particularly busy time within the e. V. as well, so we'll take some time. I can't say if it might take longer, but I personally think that this would be rather appropriate for a non-profit of our size.

I'm happy to hear that the fast response is appreciated. :)
