Monday marked the 27th edition of our annual Golf Classic—a unifying and meaningful event held in support of foundations we’ve been proudly backing for many years. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, suppliers, and colleagues, a record amount of $488,200 was donated to six foundations: IWK Health Foundation Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation Breakfast Club of Canada - Club des petits déjeuners Enfant Soleil Dr. Clown Foundation Make-A-Wish Canada. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success. This International Yoga Day, our team at Circle K India came together for a meaningful in-person session focused on workplace wellness. Led by a certified yoga practitioner, the session offered simple, practical techniques that can be seamlessly woven into our workdays right from our desks. It was a reminder that we don’t always need a mat or a studio to take care of our well-being. Sometimes, a few conscious breaths or gentle stretches are all it takes. Even a short pause for mindful movement can bring clarity, calm, and renewed energy into the workday. Here’s to keeping the spirit of yoga alive in our everyday work life!

Godmorgen fra Folkemødet i Allinge ☀️ Muleposer og kaffe bliver delt ud, stemningen er høj, og vi ser frem til en dag med relevante debatter og inspirerende møder. 📍Klokken 11 debatterer vi konkurrencen på ellademarkedet. 📍 Klokken 16.15 stiller vi skarpt på diversitet, bias og anonymiserede rekrutteringsprocesser. Sig mig, kan du ikke regne? Idiot!” Sådan en sætning er desværre ikke usædvanlig – hverken i Circle K eller andre danske butikker i detailhandlen. Faktisk har 83 procent af butiksansatte oplevet negative kundehenvendelser det seneste år 🙁 Det var netop udgangspunktet for vores debat i dag på Folkemødet, hvor vi satte fokus på den stigende utryghed blandt butiksmedarbejdere. I panelet var vores HR-direktør Marion Grønbæk Weis, forhenværende ungeminister i Coop Tobias Simonsen, formand i HK handel Mette Høgh, vicedirektør i De Samvirkende Købmænd Claus Bøgelund Nielsen og fagchef i Dansk Erhverv Henrik Lundgaard Sedenmark. Vi havde en stærk og ærlig debat om, hvad det gør ved arbejdsmiljøet og medarbejderne når grænseoverskridende adfærd bliver hverdag. Panelet delte erfaringer, data og perspektiver på, hvordan vi som branche – og som samfund – kan tage ansvar. Et af de konkrete temaer var brugen af lydoptagelser i butikker. I Circle K har vi testet det som et redskab til at forebygge uønsket adfærd, og vores erfaringer viser, at det virker. Vores butikschef Daniella Mantzius Jensen fra vores butik i Taastrup delte sine oplevelser fra hverdagen, og fortalte ærligt om, hvordan lydoptagelser har påvirket både antallet og typen af hændelser – og ikke mindst følelsen af tryghed i butikken. Der findes ikke én løsning. Men én ting var alle enige om: Tryghed kræver handling – og det starter med, at vi tør tale åbent om problemet og står sammen om at finde løsninger.
