With more than 700 exercises, the ability to create workouts simply by describing what you’re looking for, and a totally standalone Apple Watch app, this App Store Award winner strips away the resistance you may have to reaching your fitness goals.
What we love: The AI-powered Smart Trainer (found on the Explore tab) suggests personalized workouts and stretching routines that evolve so you don’t plateau. Describe your goals, training frequency, and available time and it’ll build a routine on the spot. You can also access Smart Trainer on Apple Watch and start exercises, log sets, and get instructions with a tap (no iPhone or Wi-Fi needed).

Quick tip: You can ask Siri to build an entire routine in SmartGym. Just describe what you’re looking for (“an upper- and lower-body split for 45 minutes a day, four times a week”). Or let SmartGym ask the questions and it’ll walk you through workout types, goals, frequency, and duration. (An Apple Intelligence–enabled device running iOS 27 is required.)
Meet the creator: Matt Abras started SmartGym to help everyone feel comfortable hitting the gym. “People can be intimidated; others may have no idea which exercises to do,” Abras says. “I wanted to give them the confidence to start.”
