I have had a really fun time with this app, and have put countless minutes into it (the matches are only a few minutes long). I only paid about $3 after I determined I liked it, which got me some Captain America-related items that I pretty much never used. So, that is to say, I could have paid $0 and been in the same position I am in now. So, what's the deal with the in-app purchases? In this game, as in real-world collectible card games, you can get a lot of enjoyment for little or no money. But you do hit a point where you are at a disadvantage not having spent money to obtain certain cards. To the Snap team's credit, it takes a while to hit that point each season, which for me arrives when I hit around level 50. Theoretically you could grind your way over days and months to get the cards you need to battle with the card collectors without spending. But ultimately it's a losing battle. So, for me so far, each season (before a level reset) I battle my way up to level 50, then start losing against card combos I'm not willing to pay the price to obtain. And that's good enough, though it is a lttle dispiriting when you hit that wall. Everything in this game is I think just about as well done as you could possibly imagine. The Marvel chaarcters are true to form, the animations are fantastic. The abilities and locations are so fun in gameplay. Expertly done and with love for the Marvel universe. I highly recommend trying it out, even if you have no wish to drop any cash into it.

Emphasis on the fun aspect, it's a well thought out TCG that plays reasonably balanced, with the ocassional super rare OP card drawn. Overall it's a great game that's made to be enjoyed in five-minute increments, and bonus if you are already a Marvel fan, the locations and card abilities are well thought out, but it requires zero prior knowledge of any Marvel content.The in-app-purchases are mostly of cosmetic value alone, so it's not a pay to win model which is great.The season pass is similar to Fortnite, pay for access to it, but you still have to unlock the content by playing through it.My wishlist of improvements is very short:-Please give us an option to unlock more music and replace the default tracks... they're not good.-It would be awesome to have a short bio and list of trivia when viewing your card collection, something like power list and first appearance. There's actually a few characters in this game I never heard of!

I loved Ben Brode's work when he was running Hearthstone and the game was never the same after he left. Now he's back with a game that clearly has his signature all over it. It feels incredibly rewarding, but also challenging. I am constantly thinking of new decks to play after 3 months of playing nearly daily. The constant content updates and awesome skins (variants) are so much fun. The pacing is quick (matches are often 5 minutes or less), and the deck size is small enough to where you usually get the cards you want without sacrificing just a touch of RNG to keep the game exciting. You can pay to speed up the rate at which you get cards, but the f2p rate is just fast enough to keep me playing every day (often 3-4 new cards a week). The Cube system is amazing and even makes it possible to move on up the ladder with a < 50% winrate deck. If you like Hearthstone or MTG, this is the next big win for card games. Thank you to the SNAP team and keep doing what you're doing!
