As an editor for Wordpress posts it’s great. It’s essentially a mirror image of the in-browser interface and it allows editing of tags, categories, and featured images. It has access to your phone’s photos as well as your Wordpress library. It also allows you to respond to comments and review your site stats. A good addition would be the ability to filter out ads from Wordpress sites you follow, like Apple Reader View, as well as the ability to see what search queries led to your page. All around an excellent app.
I am the editor and creator for the blog : Love Chic Lifestyle. I have had the blog for a decade and 80% of my work I balance and publish on my phone. As someone that is trying to develop a sense of consistency in the work I publish in high end fashion , beauty and lifestyle topics I love the updates and statistics globally. I personally love how effective it is. The one thing I wish could be better is the platform of subscribers button is hard to see for others. My main focus of consistency and seeing the charts is my priority. Love it
Connecting to our site was a painful process that took a while, it kept connecting to a blank new site at first. The Woocommerce app on the other hand was easy to connect. When I finally got our store connected I realized it didn’t work with the Jetpack CRM plugin, which was the only reason we wanted Jetpack in the first place. Glad we found this out before buying anything from Jetpack. I’m also glad I get paid by the hour as this was a massive waste of time.
Hi there, thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear the connection process was difficult, we never want users to go through that. Since you were able to connect in the end, we’d love to learn more about what happened so we can share your experience with our team and help improve the setup flow for others. Please feel free to email us at mobile-support+jetpackapp@automattic.com. Regarding CRM, that’s right, Jetpack CRM can’t be managed through the app as it’s installed as a separate plugin. We truly appreciate your feedback.
But not all the way. Scheduled posts only post IF and WHEN someone comes to your page, according to the tech help anyway. If they don’t post then, that means setting a time for a post to go public on its own is dysfunctional entirely. I don’t get enough traffic to watch and see if something I set up posts on its own after a visit to know for sure. The discover feed doesn’t update. I’ve had the same articles displayed for more than five days. Not that others haven’t been published, just that jetpack is pushing this set that I have already read. I have to scroll through nearly 50 to find a new one at this point. Feeds should update regularly. Not pick a handful of writers and push their same pieces multiple days in a row. And no I don’t care if they paid to be at the top, if someone has already seen it, scrolled past or read, an updated feed should be presented. It updates for followed pages but not the general public and golly that makes it hard to read anything new. Also, no longer allows me to delete followers from the ap. I have to jump online to do so. Used to let me. Then suddenly stopped. Is the ap really helpful if it doesn’t do what the site can?

I’ve provided this feedback previously, but it’s an ongoing problem. I schedule a post on the website, it appears in the list of ‘Scheduled’ posts on the app (well, sort of; it only displays about 25% and then I always have to scroll to the bottom of the list and pull down and refresh to see the next 25%, and so on), and when the post goes live, it disappears from the ‘Scheduled’ list but doesn’t show up on the ‘Published’ list. Pulling down to refresh the ‘Published’ list doesn’t work either. It’s just gone. When this happens, the post doesn’t show up in the list of ‘Published’ post until the next scheduled post goes live and then both of them appear in the list.It does show that it has published in the Jetpack notifications, and it is live on my site, but even the handful of Scheduled posts listed on the dashboard, it still includes the post that is already live. This happens often enough that it makes the Jetpack app not reliable or functional if I want to edit the post. There are other major problems with this app including when searching for a Published post, it searches through all posts, including Scheduled posts. Even if I type the exact name of the post, it shows up at the bottom of the search results. Poor functionality. Also when searching, there is such a lag in the typing, I can type the entire name of the post and I still have to wait for the text to appear. Again, this is basic functionality in any app, including the text appearing as I type this review. Also, it is nearly impossible to edit pages in the app because the ‘create new’ icon is in the way of the dots needed to access the last page in the list.TL;DR, don’t bother with this app. Just use the website or access the site via Safari.

I have a self-hosted Wordpress site and it will send posts to my site ok, but when I then work on a post on my computer it doesn’t show the updates from that revision in the app. So I posted an article this week and I came back to the app to post another, and it showed my last post that I published but it was in draft status. I would not change. I made the mistake of updating in the app hitting the Update button in the upper right. Instead of comparing the local draft with the remote published and downloading the updates made in WordPress from my computer, it set the post to draft and removed all the additions I made on my computer. I had to go into the post and restore a previous revision and then make some edits I already made just before I hit publish.
Thank you for the report, and sorry for the trouble caused by the app's syncing problems. We have a team actively working to address these problems and have shared your feedback directly with them. Although I don't have a specific timeframe for when the team's work will be shipped, it should be within the next few months. We hope you stick with us to see the upcoming improvements! In the meantime, when working in the app, we recommend navigating to My Site → Posts and manually pulling down on the screen on your finger to force a refresh. Pulling to refresh should force the app to fetch the latest content from your site. If you'd like to talk through these issues further, please feel welcome to contact us via mobile-support@automattic.com.
