EVERYONE CAN CODE

Build your own tools with Claude

How vibe coding turns your ideas into small apps.

We all have little ideas or a flash of inspiration we’d love to act on. Maybe a website for your next birthday party, a system to keep track of your club’s equipment or a small game to lighten the mood in the office. The problem? You don’t know how to code.

What you can do though, is vibe code with Claude. Instead of writing code yourself, you simply describe your idea and Claude takes care of the technical side. Here’s our quick guide on how to get started.

What is vibe coding?

First things first, you don’t need to learn a programming language or deal with technical code to make tools. The idea behind the term is that the AI handles the technical side, while you simply guide the direction and, most importantly, the vibe.

One sentence is enough – describe your idea and Claude turns it into a playable mobile game.

You might write “I need a simple website for a birthday party where guests can RSVP” and Claude will create a first version of the page. See how it looks and if you want to tweak things you can follow up with something like “Make the design a bit more playful and add a map showing the location”.

Remember, the clearer your instructions, the better it can capture that all-important vibe you’re going for.

Turn ideas into working tools

When Claude builds something for you it appears as an Artifact, a preview that you can try out straight away. Instead of just seeing code, you immediately get a working result.

That might be a small game, a project dashboard or a tool that helps organise tasks for your team. You can explore the interface, test the features and tell Claude what you’d like to change. Gradually your idea will evolve without you ever needing to look at the code.

Manage bigger projects

If a quick experiment turns into something more substantial, try Projects in Claude. They give the AI additional context so it can better understand what you’re trying to build.

Claude uses your project brief as context, so every step builds on what you’ve already defined.

You can upload documentation such as technical specs or design guidelines, or drop in a logo for your website or an Excel sheet listing your club’s equipment. Whatever you’re working on, this extra context helps Claude work more consistently towards your goal.

What if something doesn’t work?

Things don’t always come together perfectly on the first try. A button might not behave as expected or a feature might not quite do what you imagined.

Claude builds your tool and shows it instantly – ready to test right inside the app.

Instead of digging through code yourself, you can describe the issue to Claude. The AI analyses the tool in the background and adjusts it until everything works as intended and the vibe is just right.

Experiment and learn

The hardest part of vibe coding is often writing your first prompt, but often a single sentence is enough to kick things off. You’ll no doubt learn more and more as you work with Claude, and you’ll be amazed by how that spontaneous idea can turn into a working prototype.
