Continuously improving note-taking app

I have been using the Goodnotes app for over a year now, and during this time it has undergone many improvements. Initially, battery usage and my device heating up were issues, but thanks to the updates, this problem has almost completely disappeared. The app is easy and intuitive to use, and the note-taking experience is great. I especially like that I can easily export my notes to PDF format so I can print them out at any time. It also runs smoothly on iOS 18.
First look at GN6 after using version 4 and 5 for years

I use it for years, from the GoodNoted 4 version, have many handwritten notebook in it. I bought it with a one time purchase option years ago (basically, I have to buy it again for a three times bigger prize if I want to use the version 6 updates). What is new in GoodNotes 6? Basically three major thing: 1) new handwritten math recognition (with LaTeX command export, but nothing more, cannot fix the already converted expressions) 2) can erase handwritten text with strikethrough (not better then switch to the eraser and has more bugs) 3) more customization in page and cover templates (actually, it is useful) Of course, there are other minor improvements (sync, UI), but not much compared to the excellent GoodNotes5. Is it worth it? I do not think so. For example, there are no more language option for the handwriting recognition. And actually, there are better alternatives in the AppStore (with smaller prize) for math with more useful options. The strikethrough fixing also supported in other Apps, but here, it has bugs. The AI writer is… do not know, because it is basically a handwriting app, not a typing one. =( And now, I have to pay money, again, for a lifetime usage (I think until GN7 or 8), or I can change to stuck in the GN5. GN5 is good, but I am sure that I would stuck in it if I do not upgrade now. So at first look, I am not so satisfied. However… I think I can trust in the developers, they can fix the new features and the new concept to a good working one. But now, I do not like the situation, not at all.
Could be excellent with minor changes

It a very good and intuitive app for note taking, but there are a few quirks that would need addressing (and after checking the forums these have been asked by many for many years). First is separating the rotate and resize functions, there are really not many situations where it is useful to have these functions combined and most of the time it's just very annoying altogether. Second, flip function for selected objects is very much missed by the users since 2016 at least... it's a simple but extremely useful function, please add it. Third, I'd mention some minor things, like separating object moving from reshaping by for example pressure sensitivity. Then it would be nice to have some pre defined shapes which you can choose from and not have to hope that the recognition algorythim can guess your intention properly or not. One last thing I'm missing is the ability to snap to squared paper grids.

- Display the correct sidebar header background for classroom users.
- Prevent importing Text documents into incompatible document types to avoid unexpected behavior.
