Google - More ways to search 17+

This is totally awesome it gives you everything but it needs a little bit better and search and locate tiny bit better but other than that it’s the best and so fantastic I go on it all the time because it gives everything and it’s a more connective and better quality resource than others like safari because it’s easier and accessible to other good apps so it’s the best ever I could say so put your selves a thumbs up because you have done amazing and magnificent through your effort of amazing google I will try to put amazing adverts and go to town and send flyers for people always to use this app and accessible website to make it answer everything and you will proboly be on the news for such a wasome app

Over the past 2 years the news feed part of this app has become a random social media feed. I can no longer add interests or follow searches to tailor content to what I want to see. I will no longer be using it. The search is good for quick, brief queries but when used to look at topics in more depth you quickly realise the results are not prioritised by relevancy but by the most popular sites that get the most clicks. Meaning results are flooded with hardly relevant sites with titles like: “10 ways to do X” or “5 things you didn’t know about Y” etc which aren’t helpful and I find myself needing to switch to an actual browser for better results more and more frequently. It’s not too late for Google to save this app and turn it back into the useful tool it was but I fear their priorities have changed due to increased ad revenue and income potential from skewing the search results to favor the highest bidder. I’m 25 now and have used this app since I was about 14. It was always the first app I installed on every phone I’ve ever owned. Its helped me so much throughout the years. And I know its just an app at the end of the day, so this is probably silly but it’s frustrating and sad to see it devolve into what it has. Please turn this app back into the useful “unbiased” search tool it used to be.

Google is the standard app for searching. It works well and it gives you millions of results for practically any question you ask. You see my rating at the top and you think to yourself, where am I going with this? Well, everything been great- until Google added AI overview. When I used to search the definition of a word, it would give me a detailed answer that popped up on my screen when I searched a word. The definition was written by a real person. Now, Google has replaced that with AI overview! Why? I’m not sure at all. As far as I know, the definitions of words were all defined and written and now I can’t even see the human written version. I wouldn’t mind the AI as much if I could see the human version. But no, because AI has taken this feature over and it is very intrusive- it’s the first thing that pops up on my screen. I also think it was an unnecessary update to add the AI overview as it is wasteful. Google overran perfectly fine definitions of words with a substitute which does more harm than good- AI uses so much electricity and resources that it’s adding to our already large scale world crisis. Google, this update was so unnecessary and I feel as though you are being too LAZY to give us a normal response to the questions we ask in the search bar.
