Love this app! But I have a request…
Celery Louise
I would love if on the app we could choose a different notification tone, either from a variety of different sounds or from the tones I already have on my phone. It’s not enough to hear the classic discord noise from my phone, I think it works for pc but as a phone sound it’s not noticeable enough and if I could make it something more peppy or something that actually disrupts what I’m doing so that I go “Oh what’s that?” It would make it easier to keep in touch with people. Discord has become my main messaging app now, (rip fb messenger) so it’s becoming increasingly annoying for me when the gentle bloop of a message comes through because it just goes in one ear and out the other. Let me make it as annoying as I need! Also if different notifications could be used for different servers that would be great, so that the ones i don’t need to check right away can stay calm and soothing and the ones i do need to check urgently can scare the alights out of me and make me check it right away. Thanks if you read this and take this into consideration. Love the app! xx
Discord is Amazing

Before you read this, I would just like you to know that I take these ratings very seriously, and I would only rate something 5 stars if I thought it was incredible and that I could not think of anything to make it better.Discord is incredible and I cannot think of anything to make it better. I have been using Discord since early 2020’s, and after showing it to all my friends, we started being able to talk to each other a lot more. Discord is also very educational. For example, it taught me that bandwidth doesn’t grow on trees. Discord got even better when updates came out and we got screen sharing and forum and stage channels and all that cool stuff. And all this has inspired me and my friends to transform our once tiny school friend group into a massive community that’s all welcoming. It’s called Boy Obly (don’t ask why). I am so proud of what me and my friends have achieved all thanks to Discord. If it weren’t for Discord, I would never have been able to continue to see my friends after leaving primary school, but because we can all stay in a Discord server, we’ve got more friends than ever. Right now we are at 40 members, and it’s so cool even Clyde (the Discord AI) said that he wanted to join. But even though Boy Obly is not a Discord server, it’s a group of friends, we still find having a Discord server for that group of friends very useful. But anyway, I got a bit off track there. Basically, I strongly suggest you download Discord and tell all your friends about it, and then make new friends and tell them as well! Because Discord is my favourite app!!!(ps my short friend ryda spelled only wrong lolololol)
New UI is terrible.
maritsuda
Ever since the new UI came out a few months ago the app has been nothing but laggy. It’s more compact as if it’s trying to replicate the desktop version but aren’t they made to be different for a reason? The separate tabs for private DMs, servers and profiles was perfect but it changed too quickly and for no reason. Even after a few months it’s still incredibly hard to navigate the app and the bugs don’t help either. While I’m messaging, a voice message will pop up that I can’t click out of and I have to refresh the app. When I’m in a call at times the app will completely freeze and I cannot tap out of it, so I have to refresh the app. It’s just a whole bunch of refreshing to fix these annoying bugs. Most times I will accidentally press the voice message button because the send button won’t load fast enough as I’m typing a message. This new UI completely ruined discord mobile and I’m not the only person running into these problems. These bug fixes seem to not fix anything and, as mentioned before, myself and others still find it hard to navigate the app. I hope that you guys stop focusing on your subscriptions and decorations and start working on fixing the app and possibly bringing back the old separate tabs for things that genuinely made the app way more user friendly and enjoyable. (Side note; why can’t I see who’s watching my streams on mobile anymore ?)
