Easy read and clearly outlined concepts.
Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates on 7 June 2022I've really enjoyed this book. It's something to have in your bag and read in the waiting room or in the car when hanging around. It's very simple English and full of enlightening examples. Nice to read concepts that although when read they feel like something we already knew, they offer an excellent reminder of how best to react/behave in the day to day situations that bring conflict and stress to parenting. Wish I had read it sooner but glad to have read it now!

Good
Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates on 9 February 2023It is a good book, but I already knew most of the information from social.media about gentle parenting approach. It didnt add value to me because the information (though imporyant), i knew them earlier.
If you are unaware on how to deal with ur kids gently, then this is the book for u, otherwise if you follow insta posts etc.. u dnt need this

Recommend for everyone to read not just the parents
Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates on 4 September 2022Don't wanna say much but this book is a must to read. It applies to everyday life too. You'll find reasons why the thing is the way they are and maybe helps you find the reason why you feel the way you feel. Because some feelings and thoughts are from birth and the way our parents raise you

Good practical book
Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates on 28 April 2021Easy to read and quite funny/entertaining. Please be reminded its not a parenting guide book. To put it simply, its like a life's survival book for your kids or future kids. And at least this gonna help you deal with niece or young ones and be a role model adult

NADIA5 out of 5 starsInsightful, compassionate, and transformative
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 March 2026As a mother of three and a counsellor, I read this book through several lenses, my own childhood, my parenting, and the families I work with. It offers powerful insight into how our early relationships shape the way we respond to our children, often without us realising.
The tone is compassionate rather than critical, helping you understand patterns with kindness instead of guilt. I found it both validating and gently challenging, with practical ideas for building warmer, more connected relationships with your children.
A deeply thought-provoking read for any parent who wants to break cycles and parent more consciously. Highly recommend.

Mascha5 out of 5 starsExcellent book for parents
Reviewed in Germany on 12 January 2026Very inspiring and human way of raising children. Indeed, I wish me (and my parents ;-)) have read it before my child was born (still as the Author says - is it never late to "fix" whatever mistakes we made).
